Originally, Take A Break was meant to be a small collection of B-sides
and leftover songs following Be Okay To Not Be Okay and
Get Away.
While revisiting older material, however, more and more new songs were written. The original idea was gradually abandoned and the album developed into a cohesive record of its own.
Compared to previous Would releases, Take A Break ended up with a lighter, more summery atmosphere, continuing the project's habit of moving freely between different styles.
